| Excursion acquaints with the city which is no time contemporaries named "Northern Athenes". The hetman M.K.Oginsky whom designated in kings of Rzeczpospolita, has left kind memory to descendants: the palace complex, court theatre, a printing house, an arena, a greenhouse was created in Slonim. The glory about Slonim's theatre spread on all Poland and Belarus. You'll visit the country museum, the St. Andrew catholic church in the style of rococo (1775), with frescos panels, a decorative list of walls and an architectural moulding; will see the court yard which has escaped from former magnificent "muse's manor", "Ogynsky channel". Further you are waited with excursion on acting Zhyrovitchy orthodox monastery of XVII - XIX c, which is known far outside Belarus. Here, in St. Ascension Church, the relic - by wonderful image being icon of Zhyrovitchy Mother Divine, the smallest of wonder-working icons is kept. There is a seminary, dining-room, the Sacred spring. Appearance of God church and Exaltation of the Cross churches supplement harmonous complex of a monastery where thousand pilgrims annually direct at the monastery. Finishes excursion survey of the church-fortress in v. Synkovichy which is bright and a miracle of the kept monument of ancient defensive architecture XV c, where not only prayed, but also were protected from attacks of enemies. |
